Six Sentence Sunday

This week I am sharing six sentences from Dark Blood. This six is from a  scene about a character named Alethea who gets a lesson about powerful abilities she wasn’t aware she had. Abilities that connect her to nature in a way she never thought possible.

She let herself fall out of the trance and her eyes fluttered open. She was amazed to find that the forest around her had come to life. Not to say that it was dead before, but something had changed. She saw the forest in a new light; everything sung out to her with its song.

“I see things so… and I can feel the trees, the plants all around… I can feel them growing.”

“You have unlocked within you, Alethea, the Power you were always meant to wield.”
